The Dating Diva's have changed my life...

Luckily, Grant and I have always had a solid marriage. We've had so many "life events" since our wedding in 2009, that we really haven't had much time for arguing and disagreements. Yes, we've had some for sure, especially during my hormonal pregnancies; however, life has been good, and we tend to agree and get along well. However, those "life events" have also not given us the time to connect and nurture our relationship as husband and wife. Sure, we've grown as parents and responsible adults, but we've not spent time time growing our relationship.

We haven't made the time for weekly or even monthly dates since Weston was born, especially not since William was born, and we moved five hours away from friends and family. It's been tough...then enters "The Dating Divas". I can't remember where I first heard of the website, and I think it may have been Pinterest; however, I found it, and it's changed my life and my relationship with Grant. We don't spend time sharing and talking about our interests...in reality most of our "talks" revolve around work, kids and schedules.

Here is a brief synopsis of the things that we've learned and implemented:
- Weekly Date Nights - Though most are spent at home after the boys are in bed, but we still devote that time to one another and doing something we enjoy!

- 10 Minutes a Day - We spend 10 minutes per day talking about whatever we want to talk about, five minutes each, and we have to talk about something besides work, kids and schedules. You'd be surprised how difficult that really is.

- Put your spouse first, do something small for one another every day, rely on one another, confide in one another, stop the nagging and the list goes on...

We've learned so much and from daily visits to their website and reading their e-book, "The A to Z Guide: 26 Ways in 26 Days to a Happier, Healthier Marriage", our lives have been changed! We are now striving to be the marriage that our friends and families want to model their relationships after! If you haven't done so already, check out The Dating Divas website and facebook page now!
